HERE IS WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT SAUDI ARABIA (5)

Best places for tourists to visit

1. The ruins of Al Ula

Al Ula is the best-known destination in Saudi Arabia for a reason. The stunning area in the kingdom’s northwest is scattered with golden rock formations, lush citrus farms and the remains of several ancient kingdoms. The most famous ruins, Mada’in Saleh, contain clusters of 2,000-year-old Nabatean tombs. Think of Jordan’s Petra, minus the crowds.

2. Edge of the world
Many travelers speed through Riyadh, a beige urban sprawl that’s choked with congestion. But the capital has plenty of cultural sites to explore, from the bustling traditional markets of Taiba and Souq Al Zal to the recently renovated historic area of Diriyah, ancestral home of the ruling Al Saud family.

Beyond that, Riyadh is worth a stop just to see “Edge of the World,” the towering plateau two hours from the city that’s a favorite weekend hiking spot for residents. The views stretch endlessly in every direction and the silence is awe-inspiring.

lets taik about customs and traditions in Saudi Arabia

There are definitely strong cultural values incorporated into Saudi family traditions.

Every country has its' values and traditions but when you're in a country such as Saudi Arabia, you hold onto them even more. Saudis take pride in their culture and heritage and do whatever it takes to not forget it. It's not just a culture to them but also a lifestyle, one that aims to show the good qualities and virtues of the Prophet Muhammad.

1. Eating on the floor and sharing their food with others

Note: Some families do eat on the table but many of them choose to eat on the floor because Prophet Mohammad used to do so. Also, eating with your left hand is considered a sin unless you have trouble using your right.

2. Provide Arabic coffee (Gahwa) and dates

Serving Arabic coffee and dates are a symbol of hospitality. This practice is also carried out in the holy month of Ramadan. Dates are eaten in Ramadan immediately after you break your fast because it fills you up and prevents you from overeating.

3. Going to the desert

Going to the   desert is an essential part of Saudi culture. Much like a picnic, Saudi families pack their food and small tents and head off to the barr with friends and family to spend their entire day there.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WANT TO KNOW ABOUT SAUDI ARABIA (2)

what is the capital city of Saudi Arabia?

Riyadh, Arabic Al-Riyāḍ, city and capital of Saudi Arabia. The city’s name is derived from the plural of the Arabic rawḍah, meaning gardens or meadows, so named for a natural fertility provided by its location at the juncture of Wadis Ḥanīfah and Al-Baṭḥāʾ. The spectacular sight of Riyadh from the air, illuminated in the evening by city lights, is reminiscent of its eponymous meadows; a bright sea of lights dot the desert as if fluorescent flower gardens have suddenly blossomed among its dark contours.

Life in Riyadh is concentrated around the city’s more than 4,000 mosques and its numerous busy shopping centers. The city’s central core and its many souks (marketplaces) attract heavy pedestrian traffic, emphasizing the city’s intense feeling of vitality. As residents of a major city in a mainly Muslim (see Islam) country, Riyadh’s inhabitants adhere to a number of social norms that include segregation of the sexes and the need to protect the privacy of the family. Recreational activities are often a family affair, and large public gatherings are mainly restricted to male attendants. However, many activity centers allow women and families to attend at special times or in reserved areas.

FIRST OF ALL  I WILL TALK ABOUT SAUDI HISTORY

Image result for saudi arabia flag

What is the history of Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Arabia, arid, sparsely populated kingdom of the Middle East.

The history of the Kingdom of Saudi ARABIA  begins properly on September 23, 1932, when by royal decree the dual kingdom of the HEJAZ and NAJD with its dependencies, administered since 1927 as two separate units, was unified under the name of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The chief immediate effect was to increase the unity of the kingdom and to decrease the possibility of HEJAZI separatism, while the name underscored the central role of the royal family in the kingdom’s creation. No attempt was made to change the supreme authority of the king as the absolute monarch of the new regime; indeed, his power was emphasized in 1933 by his choice of his son SAUD as heir apparent.

After Saudi Arabia declared its neutrality during world war (1939–45), Britain and the UNITED STATE subsidized Saudi Arabia, which declared war on Germany in 1945, and this thus enabled the kingdom to enter the United nations  as a founding member. Ibn saud also joined the ARAB LANGUAGE but he did not play a leading part in it, since the religious and conservative  element in Saudi Arabia opposed cooperation with other Arab states, even when Saudis shared common views, as in opposition to ZIONISM In the Arab-Israeli War of 1948, Saudi Arabia contributed only one battalion.

DISCUSS THE DIFFERENT BETWEEN APPLICATION SOFTWARE AND SYSTEM SOFTWARE

INTRODUCTION TO SYSTEM SOFTWARE

Computer software, or simply software, is a  collection of  data or computer instructions that  tell the computer how to  work.

Systems software can be categorized under the following:
1-Operating system: Harnesses communication between hardware, system   programs, and other applications

Image result for operating system

2-Device driver: Enables device communication with the OS and
other programs.

3-Firmware: Enables device control and identification.
4- UTILITIES : Utilities are types of system software which sits
between system and application software
Driver software is a type of system software so that we can use our devices smoothly      without any troubleshooting problem. This type of software enables the components   perform their tasks as directed by the OS.

There are some examples of devices which requires drivers:

      • Mouse

      • Keyboard

      • Touch pad
      • Printer
         Display card
      • Network card

Application software:

Simply is a software that performs a single task, or activities for the benefit of the user.

As we know, there are two major categories, which are:

Basic application, specialized application

INPUT AND OUT PUT DEVICES

WHAT IS THE INPUT DEVICES

  • INPUT DEVICES ISAn input device is any hardware device that sends data to a computer, allowing you to interact with and control it. The picture shows Logitech trackball mouse, which is an example of an input device.

Image result for input devicesThe most commonly used or primary input devices on a computer are the keyboard and mouse. However, there are dozens of other devices that can also be used  to input data into the computer I will show it in the photo

  • What does Output Device mean?

An output device is any device used to send data from a computer to another device or user. Most computer data output that is meant for humans is in the form of audio or video. Thus, most output devices used by humans are in these categories. Examples include monitors, projectors, speakers, headphones and printers.

  • DATA PROCESSING

Data processing is the conversion of data into usable and desired form. This conversion or “processing” is carried out using a predefined sequence of operations either manually or automatically. Most of the data processing is done by using computers and thus done automatically.

  • Fundamentals of data processing & how data is processed

Data processing is undertaken by any activity which requires a collection of data. This data collected needs to be stored, sorted, processed, analyzed and presented. This complete process can be divided into 6 simple primary stages which are:
1.    Data collection
2.    Storage of data

4.    Processing of data
5.    Data analysis
6.    Data presentation and conclusions

Types of data processing on the basis of process/steps performed

1.    Batch Processing
2.    Real-time processing
3.    Online Processing
4.    Multiprocessing
5.    Time-sharin

  • TYPES OF COMPUTERS

  •  SUPERCOMPUTERS are the fastest and the most expensive computers. These huge computers are used to solve very complex science and engineering problems. Supercomputers get their processing power by taking advantage of parallel processing; they use lots of CPUs at the same time on one problem

  •  MINIFRAME COMPUTER It is a midsize multiprocessing computer. It consists of two or more processors and can support 4 to 200 users at one time. Miniframe computers are used in institutes and departments for the tasks such as billing, accounting and inventory management.

  • MICROCOMPUTER is also known as personal computer. It is a general purpose computer that is designed for individual use. It has a microprocessor as a central processing unit, memory, storage area, input unit and output unit. Laptops and desktop computers are examples of microcomputers. to make my blog not boring i will show photo about microcomputer types better than write

Image result for microcomputer types
SIMPLE PHOTO SHOWING MICROCOMPUTER TYPES

minicomputer is a type of computer that possesses most of the features and capabilities of a large computer but is smaller in physical size
